YES it's a miniature DRUM and DANCE FESTIVAL! DOORS OPEN at 7 with open drumming and dancing. From 8–10 PM Flammable Babylon performs for a facilitated TRANCE DANCE. During this time the Drum and Dance Room asks that you share in several agreements:
THIS TIME:
1) Aside from facilitation, we will explore our motion and dance without words. Note that doesn't say no sounds--just no words.
2) If you are in the Dance Room at this time you must be dancing or resting from having danced until you had to rest! The trance dance is participatory and not appropriate for spectators. Remember, we are using this time to explore personal, free motion as a doorway into Spirit!
After this we move into a community DRUM & DANCE JAM from 10-Midnight. And we usually don't stop at midnight LOL. The fee is $15 for the entire evening regardless of your arrival time. In addition there will be vendors and artists present offering henna, bling, and all manner of tribal paraphernalia.
A TRANCE DANCE is an opportunity for spiritual and intentional dance. Flammable Babylon will provide music designed to entrain the brain into trance states, allowing dancers the opportunity to freely explore the motion that they individually need to express; our dance facilitators will offer suggestions for exploring movement and deepening both exploration and expression.

TRANCE DANCE to Live Music! An opportunity for spiritual and intentional dance. Thee Flammable Babylon Percussion Ensemble will provide music designed to entrain the brain into trance states, allowing dancers the opportunity to freely explore the motion that they individually need to express; our dance facilitators will offer suggestions for exploring movement and deepening both exploration and expression.
"If you’ve heard the name Gabrielle Roth (or even Shiva Rea), then you know the premise of this rhythmic, healing dance. Participants are led along a themed journey – the first one was the 4 elements (earth, water, air and fire) and Spirit; next up… “the Quantum serpent”! – guided by a dance facilitator who teaches simple, rhythmic movements that act as physical expressions of the trance-driving rhythms and the brainwaves they manifest. By stepping and swaying into a gentle state of “trance” through these timed movements, we can intentionally begin to assimilate the healing inherent in each of the brainwave states." --Lauren Gaines, http://laurengaines.wordpress.com/2010/11/08/vibrational-healing-ommm
